Getting started

What exactly is Aforia?
Aforia is a private intimacy app for couples. The core: at a moment you choose, you both privately get the question "up for adventure?". It only becomes a match if you both want to (Yes + Yes). Afterwards you can log a session together. Plus streaks, playful challenges and insight into the orgasm gap.
What does it cost?
Aforia is free to use.
How do I pair with my partner?
One of you creates an account and invites the other. As soon as your partner accepts the invitation, you form a pair and the pings can begin.
Which devices does it work on?
Mobile apps for iPhone and Android are on their way. You can already use Aforia in your browser at app.aforia.nl.

Privacy & safety

Can my partner see that I said "No"?
No. Your answer stays private. Your partner only sees your answer once you both say "Yes", a match. So there's never a direct rejection.
Who can see our data?
Only the two of you. Data is safely stored and we never sell it. Read the details in our privacy policy.
Can I erase my data?
Yes. You can view, correct or fully delete your account at any time, right in the app under Privacy & data.

The sidequest

What does Aforia have to do with research?
Aforia is built on science and wants to help research into the orgasm gap move forward. That gap has barely shrunk in thirty years, partly because research often relies on one-off surveys. With Aforia, couples can, fully anonymously, help build better insight. Read more on the sidequest.
Do I have to take part in the research?
No, it's entirely voluntary and off by default. You never have to turn it on to use Aforia, and you can switch it off again with one tap, retroactively too.
What exactly is shared, and with whom?
Only anonymized, aggregated insights, patterns across many couples, never anything traceable to one person or couple. And only with verified academic researchers, with ethics approval from their university. Never advertisers or data brokers.
